Our Tournaments

Our Tournaments

Our Open Nationals is now in it’s 17th years and we are happy that it continues to incorporate the County of Worcestershire Novice championship and is once again going to be National record status.  We also run the Klondike Longbow tournament  in August.  Both of these Tournaments are now hosted at Manor Park.

Malvern Open Nationals & CWAA Novices Tournament

While attracting many of the top local Archers and providing some good competition for the overall prizes the National family of rounds make it an ideal place for people new to the sport seeking to take their first step into competitions. We are delighted that this event incorporates the County of Worcestershire Novices championship and it’s nice to see previous entrants progress their Archery careers with many now shooting at County level.

The tournament has over recent years attracted up to 95 competitors. For 2017 and 2018 this was held at  RGS The Grange just outside of Worcester, but for 2019 we hosted the tournament at Manor Park with Long National round being shot in the morning and the National and Junior rounds were shot in the afternoon. Getting restarted after Covid-19 times , last year we ran just a full afternoon session, but the competition lost none of its atmosphere.  For 2023 we are back to morning and afternoon sessions.

This years Open Nationals will be run on Sunday the 23rd July.  Tournament details and entry form now available  MA Open with CWAA Novices 2023 Entry

Klondike Longbow Tournament

As we have a number of members who enjoy traditional archery, in early 2016 we decided to add our own Open longbow tournament to the calendar.  This event has proved very popular with local clubs and we have been joined by most of the best Longbow Archers in the area.  The emphasis is very much on fun and we fire up the BBQ!

The Klondike is back for 2023,   Saturday 26th August –

We will be shooting a Windsor round , hope to see you there.

We will be using an online booking service this year, so to “stake your claim” to a place on the line – keep your eye on this  page.
