‘Junior age category’ – this apparent discrepancy is caused by international shooting rules. When shooting, the ‘Junior’ shooting category is U21. Under UK law, however, a ‘Junior’ is anyone under 18. So people in the age range 18-21 will be treated differently depending on circumstances.
‘Disabled’ membership is open to anyone with a significant disablity.
‘Associate’ membership is only for archers who already have paid their affiliation to ArcheryGB AND their County & Regional associations. This includes members of other clubs & ‘direct’ members of ArcheryGB.
‘Supervising parent’ – enables a non-shooting parent to supervise their U18 child when shooting solo (this is to comply with ArcheryGB’s ‘Rules of Shooting’). It includes membership of ArcheryGB / WMAS / CWAA. (a) The parent must have done a beginners’ course or equivalent. (b) The U18 child must be a member of Malvern Archers. N.B. If the U18 & parent ONLY attend shooting sessions where other AGB members are present this is not required.
