Club Target Days

What are they?

A Club Target Day (CTD) is a slightly more formal club session. It will be a nominated round & ArcheryGB have a set of rules that govern how CTDs are run. There is no cost for members shooting a CTD (but see below).

Why do we need them?

ArcheryGB have mandated that only scores shot at a CTD (or higher status event) will qualify for ‘Bowman Tier’ classifications. (These are BM3, BM2, BM1.) It is also a good way to get the club together, and an easy introduction for archers who have yet to shoot a formal tournament.

When and where?

As the name implies, they will be shot at the club. The club will endeavour to arrange one CTD per month, bot indoors and outside. PXL_20240505_104205611They will choose a variety of different rounds, and vary the day/time of the shoot, in order to include as many members as possible. The details will be posted on the club calendar and will appear on the field booking sheet.

How do I take part?

For our Club Target Days just put your name on the field booking sheet and turn up on time.

Record Status Club Target Days.

Malvern Archers are very unusual in running several of their CTDs as accredited ‘UK Record Status’ events. This enables our archers to shoot for scores that qualify for ‘Master Bowman Tier’ classifications (MB, GMB & EMB). It’s the same relaxed club event, but with an ArcheryGB Judge & a small entrance fee. For more details click here.
