1:1 Performance Coaching

Performance archery is, like any other sport, a demanding occupation. In order reach the sort of goals a performance archer desires they must commit to considerable expenditure of time, efforts and money. A performance archer will, in a typical week, undertake one coaching session, 3-4 practice sessions and ‘homework’ (e.g. reading books, attending seminars and following a strength & conditioning regime).

Malvern Archers are fortunate to have coaching staff capable of delivering 1:1 ‘Performance Coaching’. In addition we have 24/7 access to our field, enabling unlimited flexibility of session planning. We also have access to the facilities of Manor Park – for instance there are rooms there that make ideal classrooms for “off the bow” coaching.

At this level the relationship between coach & archer is as important as technical ability. So archers who reach this stage will probably have a good idea who they would like as a coach. Their choice might be a coach from another club (this is not uncommon) and Malvern Archers welcome outside coaches visiting to coach our archers (but please email ahead to avoid confusion!).

If you require help in this please feel free to email our Coaching Officer who will be happy to discuss this with you further.
